Welcome to Aspen Springs Resort, LLC, your home away from home! We are located on the north end of Big Jessie Lake in the beautiful Chippewa National Forest in northern Minnesota, near Talmoon.
Aspen Springs Resort is now under new management and is a 3-generation family owned and operated resort. We are looking forward to meeting you, your family, and friends and making your next vacation a most enjoyable and relaxing one. We know that vacations don't come often enough, so our family is committed to making your family's next vacation a great one.
We have 6 modern, nonsmoking, housekeeping cabins. We have a small playground as well as a sandy swimming area. We also have 2 fire pits that are available for your family bonfire nights, and the firewood is provided at no charge. There is an on-site fish cleaning house for your use. We have plenty of yard games for the young and young-at-heart. On those occasional rainy days, you can relax with a book, a game of cards, board games, or with a large collection of movies and gospel and inspirational CDs.
Our grounds are fairly flat making accessibility a bit easier. There are a few low steps up to some of the cabins, but there are no inclines or hills on the property from the lake to the cabins.
Big Jessie Lake is a 1753-acre lake with 9 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 42 feet. It is a very popular lake for walleye fishing and is actively managed by the Minnesota DNR. Big Jessie also has northern pike, crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, sunfish, rock bass, and perch.

While on the lake, you can see a variety of wildlife including loons, deer, pelicans, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, songbirds, and bald eagles. In the autumn, you are treated with outstanding fall colors and crisp days. Stop by any day for a complimentary hot cup of coffee.
